FAQs
What people ask before their first session, and before joining as a member.
If you're a complete beginner, you can take a course — Wheel Throwing or Hand Building Foundations both start from scratch, and a taster workshop is an even smaller first step. For memberships, some clay experience is expected: you should be comfortable working independently, with a basic understanding of studio tools, equipment and safety.
Everything you need is here — wheels, slab roller, hand building stations, and a full tool kit. Clay and glazes are available to purchase at the studio.
Bisque and glaze firings are available at an additional cost — we load and run the kilns, you don't have to manage it. Firings run regularly; we'll let you know turnaround times when you join.
Yes — on every membership and every course. Work in progress stays on a shelf here between sessions, so nothing has to travel home half-made and nothing dries out on the way. Tell us if a piece needs wrapping and we'll keep it soft for you.
Bookings are managed through our member scheduling system — you'll get access after orientation. Book individual sessions in advance, or come during open member hours, depending on availability.
Memberships are valid for 6 months from purchase, regardless of hours used. Unused hours don't roll over — we encourage you to come in regularly, but there's no pressure to use them all at once.
Absolutely — guests can join you in the studio at a guest fee per session. If your friend wants to make regularly, they'll need their own membership. We also run open studio evenings where you can bring someone to try it out.
